About Me

Mubaraq-Somuyiwa-UI-UX-Designer-User-Researcher-UX-Designer

Hey there, I'm Mubaraq, friends call me Fortress. I'm a product designer and UX researcher. I've learned a lot from solving real-world problems, accross different projects, teaming up with people from around the world. Sometimes I lead these groups, and other times I'm a valuable member, using my skills in understanding users, making things look good, and testing ideas.

There's more to me than just the technical side. I'm great at solving tough problems, thinking deeply, guiding teams, and running projects smoothly. While it's important to make clients happy with what I create, I'm even more passionate about making the people who use what I design happy. I do this by creating designs that match how people think and act. I use what I know about how people's minds work to make really great experiences.
โ€
Beyond design, I enjoy reading, writing, mentoring, helping, exploring, gaming, movies, and staying active. Let's collaborate and embark on an exciting journey!

User Research

Designing without user research is like throwing darts blindfolded. User research gives me a better understanding of the user's mental model, which helps me create designs that are more intuitive and easy to use. ย By observing users in their natural environment and listening to their feedback, I can gain a better understanding of their needs, goals, and pain points.

Tools:

usability testing, feedbacks, user interviews, heat Maps, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, first-click testing, research documentation, notes taking, observation & active listening

Software:

Google workspace, Analytic (Google analytics, Maze ...), Conference tools ...

Process:

Contextual observation, surveys, interview, field studies, moderated usability tests

Interactive Design

At its core, interaction design is about creating conversations between humans and machines. I love exploring the nuances of these conversations and finding ways to make them more efficient, enjoyable, and effective.โ€จAs a designer, I'm constantly looking for ways to push the boundaries of what's possible in digital design. Interaction design allows me to experiment with new technologies, innovative interfaces, and cutting-edge interactions that can truly transform the user experience.
